Data were collected between January and August 2023 via a survey with four sections: sociodemographic and professional characterization of the participants and the Portuguese versions of the MISSCARE Survey, the Nursing Decision\u2010Making Instrument, and the Ten\u2010Item Personality Inventory. Descriptive statistics, correlation tests, and multiple linear regression analyses were performed to identify significant predictors of MNC.<\/jats:p>\n                  <\/jats:sec>\n                  <jats:sec>\n                    <jats:title>Results<\/jats:title>\n                    <jats:p>Nurses\u2019 sociodemographic, professional, and contextual characteristics explained 18.8% of the total variance in the perceived MNC. The decision\u2010making stages (i.e., data collection, plans of action, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation), and personality traits (i.e., agreeableness, conscientiousness, and emotional stability) significantly influenced MNC. Characteristics associated with lower MNC included female gender, longer professional experience, working in surgical units, working nonrotating shifts, working fewer overtime hours, being responsible for fewer patients per shift, admissions, or discharges\/transfers per shift, and higher satisfaction with the position.<\/jats:p>\n                  <\/jats:sec>\n                  <jats:sec>\n                    <jats:title>Conclusion<\/jats:title>\n                    <jats:p>Identifying predictors of MNC provides insights for nurse managers to optimize modifiable working conditions and improve nursing care quality in oncology settings.<\/jats:p>\n                  <\/jats:sec>\n                  <jats:sec>\n                    <jats:title>Implications for the Nursing Profession and Patient Care<\/jats:title>\n                    <jats:p>Targeted workforce interventions focusing on staffing, decision\u2010making support, and work satisfaction may help reduce MNC, improving patient outcomes and nurse retention.<\/jats:p>\n                  <\/jats:sec>\n                  <jats:sec>\n                    <jats:title>Impact<\/jats:title>\n                    <jats:p>This study raises awareness among nurses and healthcare administrators regarding modifiable predictors of MNC.
