{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,4,8]],"date-time":"2026-04-08T23:03:07Z","timestamp":1775689387683,"version":"3.50.1"},"reference-count":0,"publisher":"Wiley","issue":"3","license":[{"start":{"date-parts":[[2000,1,1]],"date-time":"2000-01-01T00:00:00Z","timestamp":946684800000},"content-version":"vor","delay-in-days":2556,"URL":"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by\/3.0\/"},{"start":{"date-parts":[[2000,1,1]],"date-time":"2000-01-01T00:00:00Z","timestamp":946684800000},"content-version":"vor","delay-in-days":2556,"URL":"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by\/3.0\/"}],"content-domain":{"domain":["onlinelibrary.wiley.com"],"crossmark-restriction":true},"short-container-title":["Infectious Diseases in Obstetrics and Gynecology"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[1993,1]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>\n\t\t\tObjective: The objective of this study was to develop a reproducible \n             method of establishing the concentration of yeast cells per milliliter of solution.\n\t\t\tMethods: Three methods of determining the number of yeast cells in \n            solution were compared: Neubauer\u2032s counting chamber, spectrophotometry, and \n            nephelometry.\n\t\t\tResults: All three methods were comparable and reproducible. \n            The following formulas were highly effective in determining the number of yeast cells in \n            solution: chamber (\u00d7 10<jats:sup>3<\/jats:sup>\/ ml) 64.3 + 8,206 \u00d7 spectrophotometry (absorbance); and chamber \n            (\u00d7 10<jats:sup>3<\/jats:sup>\n          \/ml) \u20130.2 + 64 \u00d7 nephelometry (volt).\n\t\t\tConclusions: Utilization of spectrophotometry or nephelometry \n            and the appropriate formula allow for the precise determination, which is easily reproducible, \n            of the concentration of yeast cells in solution.
