The biostratigraphic distribution of each species has been studied in the context of established reference levels, and a maximum of four evolutionary lineages are known from any one locality. Ten new species are proposed in the genera <jats:italic>Pelycodus<\/jats:italic> (1 sp.), <jats:italic>Protoadapis<\/jats:italic> (4 sp.), <jats:italic>Periconodon<\/jats:italic> (2 sp.), <jats:italic>Anchomomys<\/jats:italic> (1 sp.), and <jats:italic>Adapts<\/jats:italic> (2 sp.).
