Binding of antibody to isolated glomeruli was detected by radioimmune indirect binding assay, and specificity for glomerular epithelial cells was shown using a four-layer peroxidase-antiperoxidase technique applied to epoxy resin sections of the human kidney cortex. PHM 5 appears to detect a human-specific cell surface carbohydrate antigen not previously described, and can be used to identify epithelial cells in renal biopsy sections and in culture outgrowths of isolated glomeruli.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1159\/000182918","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2008,12,8]],"date-time":"2008-12-08T08:19:42Z","timestamp":1228724382000},"page":"83-90","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":35,"title":["Monoclonal Antibodies to Human Glomerular Cells: A Marker for Glomerular Epithelial Cells"],"prefix":"10.1159","author":[{"given":"Wayne W.","family":"Hancock","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Robert C.","family":"Atkins","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"127","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2008,12,3]]},"container-title":["Nephron"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.karger.com\/Article\/Pdf\/182918","content-type":"application\/pdf","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"text-mining"},{"URL":"https:\/\/karger.com\/article-pdf\/doi\/10.1159\/000182918","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2026,5,1]],"date-time":"2026-05-01T15:31:01Z","timestamp":1777649461000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/karger.com\/article\/doi\/10.1159\/000182918"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2008,12,3]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1159\/000182918","archive":["Portico"],"relation":{},"ISSN":["1660-8151","2235-3186"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1660-8151","type":"print"},{"value":"2235-3186","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2008,12,3]]}}}
