The anti-inflammatory drugs, meclofenamate and aspirin, potentiated SRS-A release. Chlorphenesin and diethylcarbamazine citrate at high concentrations both inhibited SRS-A release. Two new anti-anaphylactic drugs, PR-D-92-EA and M&B 22,948, were particularly effective in inhibiting SRS-A release at low concentrations. The possible modes of actions of these drugs are discussed.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1159\/000231461","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2009,7,24]],"date-time":"2009-07-24T11:20:14Z","timestamp":1248434414000},"page":"774-781","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":24,"title":["Modulation of the Formation and Release of Bovine SRS-A <i>in vitro<\/i> by several Anti-Anaphylactic Drugs"],"prefix":"10.1159","volume":"49","author":[{"given":"J.F.","family":"Burka","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"P.","family":"Eyre","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"127","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2009,7,23]]},"container-title":["International Archives of Allergy and Immunology"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.karger.com\/Article\/Pdf\/231461","content-type":"application\/pdf","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"text-mining"},{"URL":"https:\/\/www.karger.com\/Article\/Pdf\/231461","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,4,23]],"date-time":"2025-04-23T22:10:59Z","timestamp":1745446259000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/karger.com\/article\/doi\/10.1159\/000231461"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[1975]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"6","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2004,7,1]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1159\/000231461","archive":["Portico"],"relation":{},"ISSN":["1018-2438","1423-0097"],"issn-type":[{"type":"print","value":"1018-2438"},{"type":"electronic","value":"1423-0097"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[1975]]}}}
