Electrochemotherapy (ECT) is a minimally invasive treatment of tumors located in the skin and subcutaneous tissue. The electric pulses potentiate the toxicity of cytostatic agents entering the tumor cell. It is highly effective especially to relieve pain and improve the quality of life. The adverse events are local and transient. A case of progressive metastatic PTC who developed bleeding cutaneous metastases treated with ECT is described. <\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1159\/000507888","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2020,6,5]],"date-time":"2020-06-05T21:00:44Z","timestamp":1591390844000},"page":"221-224","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":2,"title":["Palliative Electrochemotherapy Treatment of Cutaneous Metastases in a Patient with Advanced Thyroid Papillary Carcinoma"],"prefix":"10.1530","volume":"9","author":[{"given":"Daniela","family":"Cavaco","sequence":"first","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Sara","family":"Carvalhal","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Valeriano","family":"Leite","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]}],"member":"416","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2020,6,5]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","unstructured":"De Virgilio A, Ralli M, Longo L, Mancini P, Attanasio G, Atturo F, et al.
