This index is used for a self-assessment on CESSDA, the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives. CESSDA is performing well on \u201cConcepts for FAIR implementation\u201d, \u201cSkills for FAIR\u201d, and \u201cInvestment in FAIR\u201d; there is work in progress on \u201cFAIR culture\u201d, and work to start up on \u201cFAIR ecosystem\u201d and especially on \u201cIncentives and metrics for FAIR data and services\u201d. Next, an analysis on the FAIR components, reveals that CESSDA has accomplished the \u201cF\u201d, is working on the \u201cA\u201d \u2013 considering the sensitivity and security requirements of social data, just started on \u201cI\u201d, and that there is lack of clarity on what should be in \u201cR\u201d. On Findability, the CESSDA Data Catalogue is explained, showing the building blocks that need to be in place before one can produce a catalogue.
