This method makes use of three steps: 1) a method for deriving cross-lingual word clusters, which can then be used in a multilingual parser; 2) a method for transferring lexical information from a target language to source language treebanks; 3) a method for integrating these steps with the density-driven annotation projection method of Rasooli and Collins (2015). Experiments show improvements over the state-of-the-art in several languages used in previous work, in a setting where the only source of translation data is the Bible, a considerably smaller corpus than the Europarl corpus used in previous work. Results using the Europarl corpus as a source of translation data show additional improvements over the results of Rasooli and Collins (2015). We conclude with results on 38 datasets from the Universal Dependencies corpora. <\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1162\/tacl_a_00061","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2018,12,28]],"date-time":"2018-12-28T15:42:50Z","timestamp":1546011770000},"page":"279-293","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":12,"title":["Cross-Lingual Syntactic Transfer with Limited                     Resources"],"prefix":"10.1162","volume":"5","author":[{"given":"Mohammad Sadegh","family":"Rasooli","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Computer Science, Columbia University, New York, NY 10027,                         USA,"}]},{"given":"Michael","family":"Collins","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Computer Science, Columbia University, New York, NY 10027,                         USA,"}]}],"member":"281","container-title":["Transactions of the Association for Computational Linguistics"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.mitpressjournals.org\/doi\/pdf\/10.1162\/tacl_a_00061","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2021,3,12]],"date-time":"2021-03-12T21:38:11Z","timestamp":1615585091000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/direct.mit.edu\/tacl\/article\/43403"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2017,12]]},"references-count":0,"alternative-id":["10.1162\/tacl_a_00061"],"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1162\/tacl_a_00061","relation":{},"ISSN":["2307-387X"],"issn-type":[{"value":"2307-387X","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2017,12]]}}}
