Complex structures are investigated through simulation techniques instead of analytical methods. Simulation of port systems can be carried out for different goals such as port design, planning, capacity increase, and productivity. In this study, bottleneck points were investigated under overloading conditions. Based on the results generated through simulation experiments, it was determined that the most critical bottleneck points are created by loading\/unloading vehicles. An investment strategy was applied to the model at this point for load balancing of the port.
