The approach is illustrated with an application to selecting a modeling approach for simulating transport agents. The authors discovered that using multiobjective decision analysis for model selection can assist decision makers in more fully understanding all aspects of the simulation design problem and can uncover insights into the particular simulation project being designed.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1177\/0037549703254540","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2003,8,6]],"date-time":"2003-08-06T17:43:37Z","timestamp":1060191817000},"page":"83-93","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":4,"title":["Model Selection for Simulation Design: A Multiobjective Decision Analysis Approach with an Application to Simulating Transport Agents"],"prefix":"10.1177","volume":"79","author":[{"given":"Lisa A.","family":"Schaefer","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"The MITRE Corporation 7515 Colshire Drive McLean, VA 22102,"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Craig W.","family":"Kirkwood","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Supply Chain Management Arizona State University Tempe, AZ 85287-4706"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"179","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2003,2,1]]},"reference":[{"key":"atypb1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1023\/A:1008887028637"},{"key":"atypb2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1287\/inte.26.1.54"},{"key":"atypb3","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1177\/003754979706900405"},{"key":"atypb4","unstructured":"4 Banks, J., and R.
