Using basic parallel pro gramming constructs, an existing multiprocessor system simulator is modified to execute in parallel on a shared memory multi processor. Several key techniques used to maximize parallelism are discussed. The simulation speedups achieved while simulating a proposed large scale multiprocessor architecture are reported.
