The new algorithm is based on matrix multiplications, which results in a very concise and elegant formulation. In addition, for geometry modeling this formula tion allows very fast implemen tations. Three implementations are described along with some test results. <\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1177\/003754979005400504","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2008,3,29]],"date-time":"2008-03-29T17:23:43Z","timestamp":1206811423000},"page":"241-244","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Fast subdivision of Bezier surfaces"],"prefix":"10.1177","volume":"54","author":[{"given":"Vincent J.","family":"Harrand","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Computer Science Department, University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Huntsville, Alabama 35899"}]},{"given":"John P.","family":"Ziebarth","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Computer Science Department, University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Huntsville, Alabama 35899"}]},{"given":"Amar","family":"Choudry","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Huntsville, Alabama 35899"}]}],"member":"179","published-online":{"date-parts":[[1990,5,1]]},"reference":[{"volume-title":"An Introduction to Splines for Use in Computer Graphics and Solid Modeling","year":"1987","author":"Bartels, R.H.","key":"atypb1"},{"issue":"1","key":"atypb2","volume":"2","author":"Lane, J.M.","year":"1980","journal-title":"IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence"},{"volume-title":"Geometric Modeling","year":"1985","author":"Mortenson, M.F.","key":"atypb3"},{"key":"atypb4","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1109\/MCG.1987.276963"},{"issue":"1","key":"atypb5","volume":"3","author":"Sgi","year":"1986","journal-title":"Pipeline"}],"container-title":["SIMULATION"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/pdf\/10.1177\/003754979005400504","content-type":"application\/pdf","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"text-mining"},{"URL":"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/pdf\/10.1177\/003754979005400504","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,3,2]],"date-time":"2025-03-02T18:54:03Z","timestamp":1740941643000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/10.1177\/003754979005400504"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[1990,5]]},"references-count":5,"journal-issue":{"issue":"5","published-print":{"date-parts":[[1990,5]]}},"alternative-id":["10.1177\/003754979005400504"],"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1177\/003754979005400504","relation":{},"ISSN":["0037-5497","1741-3133"],"issn-type":[{"type":"print","value":"0037-5497"},{"type":"electronic","value":"1741-3133"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[1990,5]]}}}
