Although the conceptual levels of knowledge utilisation are well established, our understanding of the various information practices for knowledge utilisation employed by researchers remains limited. This study identified such information practices by text-mining 6637 case studies documented under the United Kingdom\u2019s Research Excellence Framework. The results were augmented with expert judgement to develop a framework consisting of nine types based on the theoretical framework of research knowledge utilisation. Three emerging types were identified: deliberation, co-creation and foresighting.
