Likewise, it contributes directly to the economic de velopment of a country. Scientists and technologists can not function properly without having access to up-to-date informa tion in their respective fields. The bulk of such information is being generated in developed countries. Providing access to this information (because of limited resources available in the developing countries) for scientists and technologists working in the developing countries, no doubt is a challenging task.
