Networking provision for universities is expected to improve considerably over the next few years. There is therefore a need to examine their present usage of communication technologies, how this depends on the level of facilities available and what the implications are for their future development. The study described here investigates usage at a stratified sample of South Korean universities via a questionnaire survey. It also examines the factors affecting use via a series of interviews.
