The fault detector and controller designed simultaneously have asynchronous switching with the original switched system. For the fault-detection objectives, estimation errors between residual signals and faults are minimized by applying weighted matrices to restrict the frequency ranges of faults, and the weighted l<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>-gain performance is simultaneously considered for the control objectives. A two-step procedure is adopted to obtain solutions through satisfying a set of linear matrix inequalities. A simulation on the longitudinal motion of a highly maneuverable aircraft technology vehicle is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
