They should be regarded as a resource for elimination of rework in downstream activities of the extended enterprise. In order to increase the usage of this already acquired information, complements to existing business pro cesses must take place. The result will contribute to increased integration of the development process and therefore more concurrent en gineering. The paper addresses the way in which requirements on Geometry Based Product Information (GBPI) should be decomposed. The decomposition makes it possible to separate and categorise geometry users. The presented methodology is a complement to exist ing business processes. It makes it possible to map corporate requirements on GBPI, and thus to address these categories in the prod uct development process's different stages. The proposed method is based on key principals of Quality Functions Deployment. The data for the work has been collected from a survey conducted at the Volvo Truck Corporation in Sweden.
[[2007,3,11
["Categorisation of Geometry Users
Department of Mechanical Engineering, Luleå University\rof Technology, 971 87 Luleå, Sweden, Volvo Truck Corporation, 405 08 Göteborg, Sweden
[[2001,3,1
["Concurrent Engineering
[[2026,4,28
[[2001,3
[[2001,3
10.1177/1063293X0100900102
["1063-293X","1531-2003
[[2001,3]]}}}
