Major data structures and the boundary characteristics are represented by bit vectors, resulting in efficient use of memory. Use of vector-length, bitwise operations yields significant speedup. The code is equally applicable to other vector supercomputers that support the full range of boolean operations. <\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1177\/109434208900300406","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2007,3,18]],"date-time":"2007-03-18T05:39:00Z","timestamp":1174196340000},"page":"64-67","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["A Vector Algorithm for Lattice Gas Hydrodynamics"],"prefix":"10.1177","volume":"3","author":[{"given":"Hwa A.","family":"Lim","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"SUPERCOMPUTER COMPUTATIONS RESEARCH INSTITUTE FLORIDA\rSTATE UNIVERSITY TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA 32306-4052"}]},{"given":"Gregory","family":"Riccardi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"SUPERCOMPUTER COMPUTATIONS RESEARCH INSTITUTE FLORIDA\rSTATE UNIVERSITY TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA 32306-4052"}]},{"given":"Charles M.","family":"Bauer","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"SUPERCOMPUTER COMPUTATIONS RESEARCH INSTITUTE FLORIDA\rSTATE UNIVERSITY TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA 32306-4052"}]},{"given":"Sanjay","family":"Sharma","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"SUPERCOMPUTER COMPUTATIONS RESEARCH INSTITUTE FLORIDA\rSTATE UNIVERSITY TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA 32306-4052"}]}],"member":"179","published-online":{"date-parts":[[1989,12,1]]},"reference":[{"key":"atypb1","unstructured":"Doolen, G., ed. 1987.
