There is a need for intermediate devices that lie between healthcare devices and service networks. The development of an application is suggested that allows for a smartphone to take the role of an intermediate device. This research seeks to identify the telehealth service requirements for long-term condition management using a product-service system approach. The use of product-service system has proven to be a suitable methodology for the design and development of telehealth smartphone applications. <\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1177\/1460458214558313","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2014,12,3]],"date-time":"2014-12-03T02:29:35Z","timestamp":1417573775000},"page":"321-332","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1177\/sage-journals-update-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":5,"title":["A product-service system approach to telehealth application design"],"prefix":"10.1177","volume":"22","author":[{"given":"Paul","family":"Flores-Vaquero","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Cranfield University, UK"}]},{"given":"Ashutosh","family":"Tiwari","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Cranfield University, UK"}]},{"given":"Jeffrey","family":"Alcock","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Cranfield University, UK"}]},{"given":"Windo","family":"Hutabarat","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Cranfield University, UK"}]},{"given":"Chris","family":"Turner","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Cranfield University, UK"}]}],"member":"179","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2014,12,2]]},"reference":[{"key":"bibr1-1460458214558313","unstructured":"Department of Health.
