The study identifies persistent directional biases and a prevalent negative orientation in covering immigrants in the news. The role of social work in facilitating image changes is discussed.<\/jats:p>\n                  <jats:p>French<\/jats:p>\n                  <jats:p>Cette \u00e9tude examine d\u2019une part la fa\u00e7on dont des messages concernant les immigrants sont envoy\u00e9s au grand public par les journaux r\u00e9gionaux Am\u00e9ricains et Espagnols et d\u2019autre part si ces messages pr\u00e9sentent les immigrants sous un jour favorable ou d\u00e9favorable.
