{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,4,29]],"date-time":"2026-04-29T19:16:15Z","timestamp":1777490175823,"version":"3.51.4"},"reference-count":10,"publisher":"SAGE Publications","issue":"5","license":[{"start":{"date-parts":[[2012,3,9]],"date-time":"2012-03-09T00:00:00Z","timestamp":1331251200000},"content-version":"tdm","delay-in-days":0,"URL":"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/page\/policies\/text-and-data-mining-license"}],"content-domain":{"domain":["journals.sagepub.com"],"crossmark-restriction":true},"short-container-title":["Cephalalgia"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2012,4]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Objective: To analyse the outcome of cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) patients presenting with isolated headache, specifically to compare isolated headache patients with early vs. late CVT diagnosis.<\/jats:p>\n                  <jats:p>Method: In the International Study on Cerebral Vein and Dural Sinus Thrombosis (ISCVT) database we compared the outcome of patients with isolated headache and a CVT diagnosed early (\u22647 days from onset) vs. late (&gt;7 days). We retrieved 100 patients with isolated headache, 52 patients with early CVT diagnosis (early isolated headache) and 48 with late CVT diagnosis (late isolated headache).<\/jats:p>\n                  <jats:p>Results: Neurological worsening was more frequent within early isolated headache patients (23% vs. 8%) (p\u2009=\u20090.045).
