The proposed SD scheme can substantially reduce computational complexity by introducing a pre-processing scheme and an adaptive threshold. In particular, our proposed pre-processing scheme is based on an iterative successive interference cancelation (SIC). The proposed adaptive threshold is used to judge whether a traversed path is correct or not and obtained by analyzing the distributions of the correct and erroneous estimates which have the minimum error pattern among all the SD searching paths.
