We reviewed our institutional experience regarding patient\u2019s X-ray exposure caused by the procedure.<\/jats:p>\n              <\/jats:sec><jats:sec>\n                <jats:title>Methods<\/jats:title>\n                <jats:p>Fifty-five procedures, performed between 2016 and 2020 in 18 patients by three interventional radiologists (radiologist), were analyzed regarding the patient\u2019s exposure to radiation. Dose-area-product (DAP) and fluoroscopy time (FT) were correlated with the experience of the radiologist and whether the preprocedural evaluation (CS-EVA) and the procedure were performed by the same radiologist. Additionally, the impact of previous liver surgery on DAP\/FT was analyzed.<\/jats:p>\n              <\/jats:sec><jats:sec>\n                <jats:title>Results<\/jats:title>\n                <jats:p>Experienced radiologist require less DAP\/FT (50\u2009\u00b1\u200918\u00a0Gy*cm<jats:sup>2<\/jats:sup>\/13.2\u2009\u00b1\u20093.84\u00a0min vs. 69\u2009\u00b1\u200920\u00a0Gy*cm<jats:sup>2<\/jats:sup>\/15.77\u2009\u00b1\u20097.82\u00a0min; <jats:italic>p<\/jats:italic>\u2009&lt;\u20090.001). Chemosaturations performed by the same radiologist who performed CS-EVA required less DAP\/FT (41\u2009\u00b1\u200912\u00a0Gy*cm<jats:sup>2<\/jats:sup>\/11.46\u2009\u00b1\u20094.41\u00a0min vs. 62\u2009\u00b1\u200911\u00a0Gy*cm<jats:sup>2<\/jats:sup>\/15.55\u2009\u00b1\u20097.91\u00a0min; <jats:italic>p<\/jats:italic>\u2009&lt;\u20090.001). Chemosaturations in patients with prior liver surgery with involvement of the inferior cava vein required significantly higher DAP\/FT (153\u2009\u00b1\u200927\u00a0Gy*cm<jats:sup>2<\/jats:sup>\/25.43\u2009\u00b1\u20094.57\u00a0min vs. 56\u2009\u00b1\u200925\u00a0Gy*cm<jats:sup>2<\/jats:sup>\/14.44\u2009\u00b1\u20097.55\u00a0min; <jats:italic>p<\/jats:italic>\u2009&lt;\u20090.001).<\/jats:p>\n              <\/jats:sec><jats:sec>\n                <jats:title>Conclusion<\/jats:title>\n                <jats:p>There is a significant learning curve regarding the procedure of hepatic chemosaturation. Due to dose reduction the evaluation and chemosaturation therapy should be performed by the same radiologist.
