Both algorithms can simultaneously estimate a nonminimum phase wavelet and statistical parameters, detect locations of significant reflectors, and deconvolve the data. Our MLD algorithm is implemented by a two-phase block component method (BCM). The phase-1 block functions like a coarse adjustment of unkown quantities and provides a set of initial conditions for the phase-2 block, which functions like a fine adjustment of unknown quantities. We demonstrate good performance of our algorithm for both synthetic and real data.--Modified journal abstract.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1190\/1.1441690","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2002,10,11]],"date-time":"2002-10-11T15:09:34Z","timestamp":1034348974000},"page":"550-565","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":61,"title":["A computationally fast approach to maximum-likelihood deconvolution"],"prefix":"10.1190","volume":"49","author":[{"given":"Chong-Yung","family":"Chi","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Calif.
