Today, the E&P industry is moving into more frontier oil and gas provinces, such as deepwater and very deep plays, where well costs are very high. Consequently, the regional and in-field well densities are generally very low compared with historical exploration and development. Such sparseness of well control poses a challenge for quantitative subsurface analysis because it is difficult to establish spatial correlations of rock and reservoir properties with confidence, when the distances between wells are too large to assume geostatistical stationarity of earth model parameters.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1190\/1.1645455","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2004,1,6]],"date-time":"2004-01-06T18:03:54Z","timestamp":1073412234000},"page":"52-59","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":53,"title":["Integrated shared earth model: 3D pore-pressure prediction and uncertainty analysis"],"prefix":"10.1190","volume":"23","author":[{"given":"Jorge L.","family":"L\u00f3pez","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Shell E&P Company 1 , New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S."}]},{"given":"Penne M.","family":"Rappold","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Shell E&P Company 1 , New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S."}]},{"given":"Gustavo A.","family":"Ugueto","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Shell E&P Company 1 , New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S."}]},{"given":"James B.","family":"Wieseneck","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Shell E&P Company 1 , New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S."}]},{"given":"Cung K.","family":"Vu","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Shell E&P Company 1 , New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S."}]}],"member":"186","container-title":["The Leading Edge"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/pubs.geoscienceworld.org\/seg\/tle\/article-pdf\/23\/1\/52\/7393054\/1.1645455.pdf","content-type":"application\/pdf","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"syndication"},{"URL":"https:\/\/pubs.geoscienceworld.org\/seg\/tle\/article-pdf\/23\/1\/52\/7393054\/1.1645455.pdf","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,12,8]],"date-time":"2025-12-08T18:14:54Z","timestamp":1765217694000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/pubs.geoscienceworld.org\/tle\/article\/23\/1\/52\/59683\/Integrated-shared-earth-model-3D-pore-pressure"},"secondary":[{"URL":"https:\/\/pubs.geoscienceworld.org\/tle\/article\/23\/1\/52\/59683\/integrated-shared-earth-model-3d-pore-pressure","label":"geoscienceworld"},{"URL":"http:\/\/tle.geoscienceworld.org\/cgi\/doi\/10.1190\/1.1645455","label":"geoscienceworld"}]},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2004,1,1]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"1","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2004,1,1]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1190\/1.1645455","relation":{},"ISSN":["1070-485X"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1070-485X","type":"print"}],"subject":[],"published-other":{"date-parts":[[2004,1]]},"published":{"date-parts":[[2004,1,1]]}}}
