Diese Studie untersucht die OSS-Aktivit\u00e4ten deutscher Unicorns anhand einer quantitativen Inhaltsanalyse ihrer \u00f6ffentlichen Git-Repositories. Ziel ist es, Zusammenh\u00e4nge zwischen den OSS-Aktivit\u00e4ten und dem Unternehmenserfolg zu identifizieren. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass nahezu alle untersuchten Unternehmen \u00f6ffentliche Git-Repositories betreiben. Es zeigt sich aber auch eine asymmetrische Verteilung der OSS-Aktivit\u00e4ten, wobei einige wenige Unternehmen sehr aktiv sind, w\u00e4hrend die Mehrheit eine vergleichsweise geringe Aktivit\u00e4t aufweist. Ein Open-Source-Activity-Index (OSAI) erm\u00f6glicht einen standardisierten Vergleich der Unternehmen hinsichtlich ihrer OSS-Aktivit\u00e4ten. Die Daten deuten darauf hin, dass Open Source zwar ein wichtiges strategisches Instrument im deutschen Unicorn-\u00d6kosystem ist, der Erfolg der Unternehmen aber von einer Vielzahl weiterer Faktoren abh\u00e4ngt und nicht in erster Linie durch die Intensit\u00e4t der OSS-Aktivit\u00e4ten bestimmt wird.
