In their contribution, Frank Asbrock and Deliah Bolesta address the question of which ideological foundations underpin right-wing attitudes in Saxony, focusing on the impact of authoritarianism and social dominance orientation on attitudes towards refugees and politicians. Contrary to the assumptions of the Dual Process Model, it is found that primarily the belief in a dangerous world functions as the strongest predictor for negative attitudes, while indirect effects highlight the importance of underlying convictions, though not consistently in the expected direction.
