Ling."],"abstract":"<jats:p>The present study is based upon the observation that the research fields of Linguistics and Language Education focus on the concept of heritage language, based on different heuristic and conceptual instruments, approaching aspects of language acquisition, use and maintenance in a differentiated (but complementary) manner. In this paper we aim at discussing points of contact between both research fields, by focusing on the same corpus of oral interviews to heritage speakers of European Portuguese, which were carried out in extra-curricular courses of Portuguese heritage language programs in Germany.
