Their setup however is\ncost-expensive, as it requires\nconsiderable effort of qualified engineers. Besides\nthat, analytics are typically\nequipment-centric, but unaware of\nother parts of a building and how things are\ninterrelated. To improve that, this\narticle presents a knowledge-based approach that is\nbased on a rich ontology model for Building Automation System\n(BAS). Complemented by a specification of the\nanalytics, an automatic setup of analytics can be\nenabled. Furthermore, a fault\npropagation approach is presented that can determine how faults propagate in\nBAS.
