The goal is to achieve 100 percent inline component inspection to reduce scrap and improve efficiency. A ray tracing-based simulation approach is employed to assess uncertainties introduced by sensor limitations, shadowing, resolution constraints, and sensor noise. Additionally, a calibration procedure is presented, where a calibration object is used to verify and correct the laser plane\u2019s alignment into a reference coordinate system.
