{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,1,10]],"date-time":"2026-01-10T09:41:45Z","timestamp":1768038105507,"version":"3.49.0"},"reference-count":0,"publisher":"Index Copernicus","issue":"1","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2015,3,31]]},"abstract":"<jats:title>Abstract<\/jats:title>\n               <jats:p>\n                  <jats:bold>Background:<\/jats:bold> This article presents an example application of an e-learning tool for presenting cases with the aim of acquainting medical students with the procedures performed by a court expert in assessing causes and effects of an accident at work.<\/jats:p>\n               <jats:p>\n                  <jats:bold>Methods:<\/jats:bold> The present publication is based on medico-legal expertise dealing with the case of a 51-year-old manual worker of a carpentry company who, due to lack of proper training in handling the machine, severely injured his hand. The main advantage of this publication is the presentation of a series of cause-effect events at every stage of the patient\u2019s treatment that led to minor and major complications and adverse effects.
