For centuries\nlibraries served as single point of access to scientific\nliterature. Social Media however brings up new publication forms,\ne.\u202fg. scientific wikis, new communication channels,\ne.\u202fg. micro-blogs, or community driven research and publication\nenvirnoments, e.\u202fg. Mendeley or ResearchGate.
