By the symmetrically perturbed smoothing Fischer-Burmeister function, the XLCP is approximated by a family of parameterized smoothness optimization problems. Asmoothing damped Gauss-Newton method is designed for solving the XLCP. The proposed algorithm is proved to be convergent globally under suitable assumptions.
