{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,1,10]],"date-time":"2026-01-10T21:02:07Z","timestamp":1768078927942,"version":"3.49.0"},"reference-count":7,"publisher":"Walter de Gruyter GmbH","issue":"3","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2001,4,25]]},"abstract":"<jats:title>Summary<\/jats:title>\n            <jats:p>Structural analysis was conducted on residual lignin from pine Kraft AQ pulp, Eucalyptus Kraft lignin\nfrom <jats:italic>Eucalyptus globulus<\/jats:italic> and Repap Organosolv lignin by 2D <jats:sup>13<\/jats:sup>C-<jats:sup>1<\/jats:sup>H correlation NMR spectroscopic\ntechniques such as HMQC sequence. These lignins contain a rather wide variety of saturated aliphatic\ngroups. The HMQC NMR spectra of the lignins do not verify the presence of diarylmethane moieties in\nany lignin investigated. The type and amount of other condensed structures depend on the nature of lignin\npreparation. All the lignins investigated still contained \u03b2-<jats:italic>O<\/jats:italic>-4\u2032, pino- and syringayresinol (\u03b2-\u03b2\u2032) and\nphenylcoumarane (\u03b2-5\u2032) structures. Stilbene structures were also identified. Vinyl ether structures were\npresent only in Eucalyptus Kraft lignin. All the lignins contain \u03b1-carbonyl groups conjugated to aromatic\nmoieties as terminal side chains rather than involving \u03b2-<jats:italic>O<\/jats:italic>-4\u2032 structures. No coniferyl alcohol and\nconiferyl aldehyde type structures are detected in the lignins after pulping.
