M\u00e9todos: estudo qualitativo, realizado em 19 institui\u00e7\u00f5es hospitalares, com 56 enfermeiros. Para a coleta de dados foi utilizada a entrevista semiestruturada e, na an\u00e1lise, o software Atlas.ti\u00ae. Resultados: emergiram como unidades de an\u00e1lise: aspectos positivos e negativos do ensino de enfermagem em contexto te\u00f3rico; e aspectos positivos e negativos do ensino de enfermagem em contexto pr\u00e1tico. A percep\u00e7\u00e3o dos enfermeiros sobre o ensino de enfermagem est\u00e1 relacionada, essencialmente, \u00e0 exist\u00eancia de processos formativos muito diversificados.
