Los resultados se compararon con los datos arrojados por la metodolog\u00eda convencional de cultivo. Adicionalmente a los aislamientos obtenidos se les evalu\u00f3 relaci\u00f3n clonal mediante la t\u00e9cnica de electroforesis de campo pulsado (PFGE).Resultados Se determin\u00f3 un total de 123 casos de enfermedad transmitida por alimentos de los cuales 45 muestras biol\u00f3gicas fueron confirmadas por laboratorio y 88 mediante nexo epidemiol\u00f3gico. La metodolog\u00eda molecular detect\u00f3 35\/45 muestras positivas frente a 17\/45 muestras positivas detectadas mediante la metodolog\u00eda convencional.
