Solo"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2010,12]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Valores de refer\u00eancia de qualidade (VRQ) para metais pesados em solos, em \u00e2mbito mundial, s\u00e3o bastante heterog\u00eaneos. No Brasil, poucos estudos para estabelecer esses valores foram conclu\u00eddos. Na aus\u00eancia de VRQ para metais pesados em solos, estabelecidos para as condi\u00e7\u00f5es do Estado do Esp\u00edrito Santo, utilizam-se valores gen\u00e9ricos internacionais ou desenvolvidos para outros Estados. Entretanto, deve-se ressaltar que o uso desses valores pode levar a avalia\u00e7\u00f5es inadequadas, j\u00e1 que existem diferen\u00e7as nas condi\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00e9cnicas e vari\u00e1veis ambientais de cada regi\u00e3o, em especial das condi\u00e7\u00f5es geol\u00f3gicas, h\u00eddricas e pedol\u00f3gicas. Essas diferen\u00e7as justificam o desenvolvimento de uma tabela pr\u00f3pria com VRQ para metais pesados em solos, adequada \u00e0s condi\u00e7\u00f5es do Estado do Esp\u00edrito Santo. Nesse sentido, o presente estudo buscou obter os teores naturais de 10 metais pesados e verificar a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o desses elementos nos solos das bacias hidrogr\u00e1ficas Riacho, Reis Magos e Santa Maria da Vit\u00f3ria, no Estado do Esp\u00edrito Santo, tendo em vista o estabelecimento de Valores de Refer\u00eancia de Qualidade (VRQ). Para isso, foram determinados os teores totais por ataque \u00e1cido, com digest\u00e3o em forno micro-ondas, conforme o m\u00e9todo SW-846 3052 da Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) e dosagem por espectrofotometria de emiss\u00e3o \u00f3ptica com plasma induzido (ICP- OES). Os teores totais extra\u00eddos nos solos dessas bacias hidrogr\u00e1ficas s\u00e3o relativamente baixos e inferiores aos reportados para solos de regi\u00f5es brasileiras e de outros pa\u00edses. Os teores de c\u00e1dmio ficaram abaixo do limite de detec\u00e7\u00e3o (LD) do m\u00e9todo para todas as amostras. Em consequ\u00eancia, os VRQ obtidos para 12 metais pesados no Estado do Esp\u00edrito Santo foram semelhantes ou inferiores aos obtidos para outras regi\u00f5es do Brasil e do mundo.
