(Bauru)"],"abstract":"<jats:p>Abstract: This article presents a pedagogical and methodological tool called a thematic dossier, for researching socio-scientific issues, focusing on student activism. Pedagogically, the tool aims to develop students\u2019 research and critical analysis skills. This allows students to deepen their understanding of the controversy analyzed and carry out grounded socio-political actions based on this scientific clarification. Methodologically, it is innovative as it provides researchers in science education with elements to analyze the reasoned and reflective socio-political actions carried out by students. We demonstrate the use of the dossier in a teaching sequence (TS) based on a socio-scientific issue (SSI) related to the emergence of new zoonotic pandemics.
