As tarefas das provas nacionais de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o externa, quando propostas aos alunos, contribuem tamb\u00e9m para influenciar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Este estudo, que apresenta dados parciais de uma investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em curso, tem por objetivo analisar tarefas de geometria que envolvem representa\u00e7\u00f5es bidimensionais de constru\u00e7\u00f5es com policubos retiradas de provas de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o externa. Mais concretamente, analisa os processos mentais a que fazem apelo, os usados pelos alunos na sua resolu\u00e7\u00e3o, bem como as dificuldades sentidas neste processo. Tomaremos como base de trabalho os resultados de algumas pesquisas que descrevem v\u00e1rias dificuldades observadas quando os alunos interpretam representa\u00e7\u00f5es planas de constru\u00e7\u00f5es com policubos. O estudo segue uma metodologia de natureza interpretativa, com recolha documental das pr\u00f3prias provas, das resolu\u00e7\u00f5es produzidas pelos alunos e dos depoimentos dos mesmos registrados em v\u00eddeo durante entrevistas. Com este trabalho, em termos gerais, revelamos falhas importantes no conhecimento envolvido na visualiza\u00e7\u00e3o de constru\u00e7\u00f5es com policubos representados bidimensionalmente.
