O que acontece na Educa\u00e7\u00e3o, em particular, no ensino da Matem\u00e1tica? Na procura desta resposta, desenhamos este estudo, de natureza quantitativa, com uma amostra de 1088 professores de Matem\u00e1tica (portugueses e espanh\u00f3is). Com recurso a inqu\u00e9rito, averigua se professores que ensinam Matem\u00e1tica, ao longo dos diversos n\u00edveis de ensino, apreciam o humor, que perspectiva t\u00eam dele e do seu valor educativo e se o utilizam no ensino. O estudo averigua, ainda, se o n\u00edvel de ensino em que lecionam tem influ\u00eancia na perce\u00e7\u00e3o e uso do humor com fins instrucionais. O estudo procura verificar se h\u00e1 diferen\u00e7as significativas entre os professores portugueses e espanh\u00f3is em rela\u00e7\u00e3o a estes aspectos. Os resultados revelam que a maioria dos professores, de todos os n\u00edveis de ensino, reconhecem o significado de humor, consideram que t\u00eam sentido de humor, justificam o seu uso no ensino da Matem\u00e1tica e j\u00e1 o viram utilizar ou utilizam nas aulas, com o objetivo de criar bom ambiente de aprendizagem e de fazer pensar os alunos. O estudo revela diferen\u00e7as entre os professores dos diversos n\u00edveis de ensino, indicando que existe maior predisposi\u00e7\u00e3o dos professores dos Anos Iniciais, comparativamente com os demais, para valorizar e utilizar o humor no ensino.
