Participaram no estudo 30 estudantes, futuros professores dos primeiros anos escolares, que se encontravam a frequentar o 1.\u00ba ou 2.\u00ba ano do curso de Licenciatura em Educa\u00e7\u00e3o B\u00e1sica, de uma Escola Superior de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o situada no norte de Portugal. Os dados do presente estudo foram obtidos atrav\u00e9s das respostas dadas pelos estudantes a quatro quest\u00f5es, nas quais se requeria a tradu\u00e7\u00e3o para o registo tabelar de informa\u00e7\u00e3o estat\u00edstica dada no registo gr\u00e1fico, num\u00e9rico-verbal e lista de dados simples. Em termos de resultados, salienta-se que os estudantes tiveram maior sucesso na constru\u00e7\u00e3o da tabela de frequ\u00eancias simples do que na constru\u00e7\u00e3o das duas tabelas de dupla entrada e da tabela de dados agrupados em intervalos de classe, tendo sido esta \u00faltima a que se revelou mais dif\u00edcil.
