A tarefa apresentada, de natureza explorat\u00f3ria, faz parte de uma sequ\u00eancia de tarefas integrada numa experi\u00eancia de ensino realizada no 3.\u00ba ano de escolaridade. Trata-se de um estudo de natureza qualitativa na modalidade de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o baseada em design. A recolha de dados realizou-se em contexto educativo, atrav\u00e9s da observa\u00e7\u00e3o participante, e envolvendo v\u00e1rios instrumentos: grava\u00e7\u00f5es v\u00eddeo, registos fotogr\u00e1ficos, registos escritos dos alunos e notas de campo. A an\u00e1lise de dados \u00e9 centrada na an\u00e1lise de conte\u00fado do momento de discuss\u00e3o coletiva da tarefa. S\u00e3o analisadas as resolu\u00e7\u00f5es dos alunos relativamente ao processo de medir e as a\u00e7\u00f5es do professor e da investigadora, na condu\u00e7\u00e3o daquele momento. Dos resultados, conclui-se que houve altera\u00e7\u00f5es no conhecimento dos alunos, tanto a n\u00edvel conceptual como processual, embora continuem a existir algumas fragilidades no conhecimento conceptual.
