A metodologia adotada \u00e9 qualitativa, interpretativa, e os dados foram recolhidos atrav\u00e9s da observa\u00e7\u00e3o e grava\u00e7\u00e3o das sess\u00f5es de prepara\u00e7\u00e3o, condu\u00e7\u00e3o e reflex\u00e3o sobre a discuss\u00e3o coletiva e atrav\u00e9s de recolha documental. A an\u00e1lise dos dados \u00e9 dedutiva, com base num modelo que organiza as pr\u00e1ticas e a\u00e7\u00f5es do professor na prepara\u00e7\u00e3o e condu\u00e7\u00e3o de discuss\u00f5es coletivas. Nesse modelo, a prepara\u00e7\u00e3o da discuss\u00e3o coletiva est\u00e1 organizada em dois momentos: antes da aula, em que o professor faz a prepara\u00e7\u00e3o inicial, escolhe e resolve a tarefa e prepara a sua realiza\u00e7\u00e3o na aula; durante a aula, quando o professor apresenta a tarefa, monitoriza o trabalho dos alunos, seleciona e sequencia as suas respostas. S\u00e3o apresentadas tr\u00eas pr\u00e1ticas a conduzir, em simult\u00e2neo, durante a discuss\u00e3o coletiva \u2013 iniciar a discuss\u00e3o coletiva e intervir segundo a situa\u00e7\u00e3o e o objetivo, analisar o trabalho dos alunos com foco nas ideias matem\u00e1ticas e promover a participa\u00e7\u00e3o destes. Relativamente \u00e0 s\u00edntese final, para al\u00e9m do estabelecimento de conex\u00f5es, \u00e9 apresentada a a\u00e7\u00e3o de resumir e real\u00e7ar as principais ideias ou procedimentos explorados na aula.
