Inicialmente, foram analisados e descritos instrumentos de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o da qualidade da educa\u00e7\u00e3o inclusiva reconhecidos internacionalmente, identificando dimens\u00f5es e indicadores apropriados para conduzir a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o. A vers\u00e3o inicial do instrumento de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o foi encaminhada para a aprecia\u00e7\u00e3o de especialistas da \u00e1rea, os quais contribu\u00edram para a an\u00e1lise da validade de conte\u00fado do instrumento. A partir das contribui\u00e7\u00f5es das especialistas, foi desenvolvida a vers\u00e3o final do instrumento, composta por nove dimens\u00f5es e 40 itens, contemplando aspectos relacionados \u00e0 cultura escolar inclusiva, ao envolvimento da comunidade, \u00e0 participa\u00e7\u00e3o dos alunos, \u00e0 acessibilidade e \u00e0 seguran\u00e7a dos ambientes, \u00e0 atua\u00e7\u00e3o e forma\u00e7\u00e3o dos profissionais, ao apoio aos alunos e ao curr\u00edculo escolar.
