As ind\u00fastrias criativas compreendem, entre outras, as atividades relacionadas ao cinema, ao teatro, \u00e0 m\u00fasica e \u00e0s artes pl\u00e1sticas. Neste artigo introdut\u00f3rio, mostramos o surgimento do termo no \u00e2mbito de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas de desenvolvimento econ\u00f4mico, analisamos a literatura cient\u00edfica sobre as ind\u00fastrias criativas e procuramos sistematizar as diferentes defini\u00e7\u00f5es do termo, diferenciando-o de conceitos similares, em especial do conceito de ind\u00fastrias culturais.
