O invent\u00e1rio (31 itens) foi constru\u00eddo por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas a estudantes (n = 80) dos seis anos da licenciatura. Suas propriedades psicom\u00e9tricas foram testadas num estudo com 251 estudantes dos seis anos do curso (160 do sexo feminino e 91 do sexo masculino). A validade de constructo foi avaliada mediante an\u00e1lise fatorial que resultou numa solu\u00e7\u00e3o de cinco fatores (\"exig\u00eancias do curso\", \"exig\u00eancias humanas\", \"estilos de vida\", \"competi\u00e7\u00e3o\" e \"adapta\u00e7\u00e3o\") com 54,8% da vari\u00e2ncia explicada e boa representatividade do constructo. O IFSAM total evidencia ainda uma boa fidelidade, com um coeficiente de consist\u00eancia interna de.88. Os resultados revelam que o IFSAM apresenta boas caracter\u00edsticas psicom\u00e9tricas na amostra, podendo constituir um instrumento \u00fatil na avalia\u00e7\u00e3o das fontes e intensidade de estresse acad\u00eamico do curso de Medicina noutras
