Adorno no \u00e2mbito do pensamento cr\u00edtico contempor\u00e2neo, o presente artigo procura dar conta dos revezes da recep\u00e7\u00e3o pol\u00edtico-filos\u00f3fica da dial\u00e9ctica negativa (das posturas cr\u00edticas de Habermas, Lyotard ou Agamben \u00e0s mais favor\u00e1veis de Jameson e Holloway) e discutir a sua relev\u00e2ncia actual. Defender-se-\u00e1 que a politiza\u00e7\u00e3o do pensamento adorniano \u00e9 poss\u00edvel, muito embora as suas val\u00eancias cr\u00edticas n\u00e3o se restrinjam a essa possibilidade. Hoje, a dial\u00e9ctica negativa funcionaria tamb\u00e9m como ant\u00eddoto contra os atalhos tomados pelas correntes \"voluntarista\" (Peter Hallward), \"messi\u00e2nica\" (Agamben) e \"ontol\u00f3gica\" (realismo especulativo) da filosofia, \u00e0 entrada do s\u00e9culo XXI. Contudo, atendendo a que a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre teoria e pr\u00e1tica \u00e9 complexa em Adorno, a sua relev\u00e2ncia actual ressaltaria em rela\u00e7\u00e3o com as reac\u00e7\u00f5es cr\u00edticas que o movimento do \"realismo especulativo\" tem suscitado.
