M. Coetzee \u00e9 um espa\u00e7o criativo onde diferentes identidades liter\u00e1rias s\u00e3o constantemente baralhadas e uma perigosa sobreposi\u00e7\u00e3o de alter-egos \u00e9 sistematicamente ensaiada. Pensando sobre todas essas nuances, fil\u00f3sofos contempor\u00e2neos a trabalhar sobre a obra do escritor sul-africano t\u00eam descrito o seu trabalho como \"realista-modernista'. Neste artigo, discuto uma obra espec\u00edfica de Coetzee (Di\u00e1rio de um Mau Ano) - focando sobretudo a estranha t\u00e9cnica gr\u00e1fica da triparti\u00e7\u00e3o da p\u00e1gina em tr\u00eas vozes liter\u00e1rias e a respectiva rela\u00e7\u00e3o com a ideia de \"pensamento \u00e9tico de substitui\u00e7\u00e3o\" -, confrontando-a com a sua obra como um todo.
