Soc."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2003,9]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>O presente artigo visa a reflectir sobre a emerg\u00eancia de l\u00f3gicas de mercado na regula\u00e7\u00e3o da oferta educativa, nomeadamente a partir de processos formais e informais de \"escolha da escola\" pelos alunos e suas fam\u00edlias. Com base numa investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em curso no Centro de Estudos da Escola da Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ci\u00eancias da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o, da Universidade de Lisboa, foi poss\u00edvel identificar \"desvios\" \u00e0s normas da \"carta escolar\" (que estabelece, em Portugal, a obrigatoriedade da frequ\u00eancia de uma determinada escola em fun\u00e7\u00e3o da resid\u00eancia dos alunos). Esses desvios configuram uma evolu\u00e7\u00e3o, no planeamento da rede escolar, de \"uma regula\u00e7\u00e3o pela oferta\" para \"uma regula\u00e7\u00e3o pela procura\" e p\u00f5em em evid\u00eancia o aparecimento de novos espa\u00e7os de interdepend\u00eancia\/concorr\u00eancia entre as escolas, com vis\u00edvel efeito sobre o modo como \u00e9 (ou n\u00e3o) garantida a igualdade de
