Soc."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2010,3]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Neste artigo apresentamos dados de uma investiga\u00e7\u00e3o mais vasta que pretende compreender as experi\u00eancias e os percursos de alunos do ensino secund\u00e1rio. Os dados foram recolhidos a partir de testemunhos escritos e entrevistas numa escola secund\u00e1ria urbana no norte de Portugal. Neste artigo, apresentamos dois temas: vis\u00e3o da escola e epis\u00f3dios marcantes ao longo do percurso escolar. Os dados sugerem que a maioria dos alunos v\u00ea a escola como um local de descoberta e crescimento (intelectual e pessoal), como um agente de socializa\u00e7\u00e3o e como uma \"rampa de lan\u00e7amento\" para o futuro. A influ\u00eancia determinante de outros significativos nas escolhas dos cursos, os factores associados a press\u00f5es externas e a sa\u00eddas profissionais, as experi\u00eancias negativas e positivas (sobretudo associadas aos professores que tiveram), a mudan\u00e7a de n\u00edvel de escolaridade e de escola, e consequente necessidade de (re)adapta\u00e7\u00e3o a outros contextos, s\u00e3o exemplos de situa\u00e7\u00f5es marcantes para os participantes neste
